Prakash is from Bihar and his wife Tina is from Punjab. They have sportingly accepted their cultural differences and sometimes lovingly tease each other about them. Yet for Prakash it has been difficult to accept that Tina can be more than a homemaker. He refuses to acknowledge her capabilities or to look beyond her good looks of which he is very proud.
Aarti, Prakash's sister, though uneducated, supports Tina, but cannot convince her brother to change his attitude.
An upheaval in their lives comes in the from of Lina who takes the house by storm. She not only challenges Prakash opinions but also takes up a job in Prakash's arch rival's office. Prakash's rival Kailash is enamoured by Lina and professes his love to her. Damru, the simple hearted Bihari is the servant at home. He is faithful and loyal but has romantic notions of his own.
The household changes with Lina's arrival. What follows is a hilarious battle of the sexes.
