SAKHKHE SHEJARI

'Sakkhe Shejari' is an episodic comedy about the ironic and bitter sweet relationship shared by three couples of Sadashiv society. These couples have a sharing and caring association with each other. From sharing the same cup of tea to reading the same newspaper and buying vegetables for each other they are uniquely bonded. However, things change when the wives fed up of their patriarchal counterparts decide to launch a strike against their husbands. Tatya, the typical middle class husband is shell - shocked to discover his wife Krishna's new found liberal outlook.

What follows is a hilarious tale of the misery faced by both groups in their effort to live independently. In another amusing episode, Jagan and Makrand fail miserably in their attempt to swap their wives. The hilarious chain of events takes a new turn when Tatya gets an opportunity of a lifetime as he is offered a job in Dubai.
The play captures the plight of these characters and follows their endearing encounters in a light hearted and entertaining manner. Its simple plot, witty humour and lovable characters have made the play a memorable experience for its audiences.
