This is a social satire revolving around a fortune-telling parrot called Amir. He is the pet of the Shahane family and appears to be controlling all the family events. The head of the family is a builder and he always consults Amir before launching any new project. His wife Shraddha uses Amir to run a consultancy for expectant parents to predict the gender of their unborn babies (since gender-determining sonography has now been rendered illegal!) and their son Akash, a software engineer relies on Amir's predictions to run a 'cricket betting' racket. The only family member who genuinely loves the parrot is their daughter Avni.
In short, Amir is the proverbial golden goose of the family. So hell breaks loose when Amir goes missing one day and a Dubai-based don claims to have kidnapped him. Mr Shahane pays up a hefty ransom to rescue Amir. But the parrot has suddenly gone mute; he is unable to make any more predictions. How do you think the Shahane family deals with this calamity?
