THE DEATH OF A CONQUEROR is based on Adolf Hitler's last days before the end of World War II. The play brings to life Hitler's slow descent to madness during his last few days in his Bunker. The play shows that Hitler was, after all, a human being, even if an especially obnoxious, detestable specimen. He could be kind and considerate to his secretaries while being ruthless in determining the deaths of millions with dispassionate brutality.
