Ek Rikaaami Baaju

By MTG editorial

The play unfolds the story of a young lady Ritu, who has breast cancer lump, detected in her left breast. The play, in its unique style has only three actors playing around 16 roles. Various aspects of the very occurrence and consequences of having a malignant lump in breast are dealt with in this play. It involves simple feelings that involve various male and female characters in the world of a young Indian lady. The play originally written in English, after a series of improvisations, has been carefully adapted to Indian conditions, characters and their internal and external environment. The play travels through various time zones and locations to present various small scenes, with each of them forming a part of the larger picture.

The play has been adapted by Pradeep Vaidya from Louise Page's original English play TISSUE.
