F-1/105 presents a story of a neighbourhood in a cosmopolitan locality and a couple named Sagar and Mumu, with their plan to re-do the interior of their apartment by painting it in green. As the story unfolds, the apparently simple job of colouring, turns into a dramatic 'event', unsettling the couple's private space, disturbing the emotional world of the Painter from some unspecific place called, 'North' and rippling through the surrounding neighborhood. The kaleidoscopic and darkly funny play in mainly Marathi, as well as Hindi, Gujarati and English explores perception of 'colour' in contemporary society by presenting shades of green. Weaving the personal and the political, the physical and the mental; the play takes us through stunning revelations of green colours' associations and interventions, affinities and contrasts, connections and fears and striking experience that is internal to any colour, societal hierarchies and individual frustrations within the aesthetic and cultural spheres of contemporary urban society.
