Mellow Circle presents � The Burglar�s Christmas� its 21st annual Christmas Play for the first time as a movie.

Branded a thief in his school, Manny runs away from his home and ends up in Mumbai, where he is robbed by two young boys. Scrounging for survival and working in restuarants, Manny gives into the temptation to rob an old man. Later, he runs into the two boys and ends up adding them to his gang and they continue with their lives stealing from others. Over time, luck ran out and one of them gets caught. Manny escapes to Chennai. Tired and hungry, he decides to steal again, but when a woman drops a parcel he gives it to her instead of running off with it. He feels as if he is a failed thief, in the same manner as he had failed at everything � school, profession, etc.

In his latest attempt, he walks into a house in an attempt to steal the jewellery. It is here that the Christmas Magic transforms the life of many people and Manny especially.

The Screenplay and Direction is by Michael Muthu. The lead characters are Yohan Chacko, Deepa Nambiar, Simon Elias and is supported by The Mellow Circle Choir.

The Burglars Christmas will be premiered at The Magic Lantern Preview Theatre on the 20th Dec 2020.
