A comedy play based on Badal Sircar's famous drama Ballabhpur Ki Roopkatha Bhupati is the sole survivor of the royal dynasty of Ballabhpur. Due to an urgent need of funds he is desperately trying to sell his 400 years old ancestral palace. However, no buyer shows any interest due to the building's state of ruin.
One day a rich man turns up to take a look at the property. Bhupati needs to hide a lot of secrets from him in order to complete the sale. One of the secrets is that an eccentric ghost seeking salvation resides in the building, and roams around every night either laughing eerily or reciting sanskrit poetry. A number of unpredictable twists and turns take place. To complicate matters further, Bhupati falls in love with the pretty daughter of the potential buyer. Then another gun wielding man turns up to spoil the deal.
Bhupati tries every trick possible to not only sell the house but also win over his beloved.
