Suryakant Tripathi Nirala - a name that establishes the identity of Chhayavaad. From 'Ram Ki Shakti Puja' to 'Saroj Smriti', whose poems take you to a new world. A strong pillar of the building of Hindi literature. But it is painful even to describe what that great man suffered during his lifetime. Lost his wife, lost his daughter, his brother-sister-in-law, and his parents, and companions kept separating one by one. The words came out of the poet's mouth - I am alone, the evening of my life is approaching. Even loneliness could not break the poets. He sacrificed his life in his 'Bhagirath effort' to take Hindi to the pinnacle. Got distressed by the day-to-day increasing invasion of English, and distraught by the hopeless misery in the country after independence, suffered from the decline of ideal and socio-moral values, but did not give up. Neelkanth Nirala! is the turner of the stream of history, literature, and civilization; showing the right path to humanity by getting himself crucified.

The play describes a day in Nirala's last days. This opens a new chapter of Nirala's introduction to the viewers. Each character in the play has its own separate existence. Hazari Dada is a wrestler, there is a bad blood between him and the poem. Mr. Sinha is an advocate of the English language. Sahitya Sevi is hurt because Nirala is not given respect like other poets. Uttara is an art lover and looks at Nirala with reverence. This drama fascinates all sections of audiences.
