It's a story of the Pimpalvedhekar family which consists of Three and half members. Father Shankarshastri, Mother Parvati, Son Gajanan and Shankarshastri's mother, who is a spirit.
This family is cursed as per family scripture. They have to follow the culture from a century ago, otherwise Shankarshastri will die.
This is the reason why Parvati always wears a nine-yard Sari, a lot of jewellery all over her body and speaks pure Marathi like the olden days. This lifestyle is mandatory for all other family members to avoid the curse.
This means that Gajanan who is already excited to get married is supposed to get a bride, who wears a nine-yard sari and accepts the 100-year-old lifestyle. Gajanan finds a way to live a double life. He keeps his western outfits in the outhouse and lives like a modern boy named Gaj in his college. Why is this family’s curse?Does Gajanan succeeds to get a girl of his choice? How does his father helps him to get the bride? All these questions will be answered in an extremely hilarious way with fusion music and great songs in this out of the box musical comedy.
