 SALT Review

"A team is only as strong as the weakest member."

Life is never plain sailing but when a new government initiative gives young people the opportunity to study and acquire skills abroad, scores of teenagers jump at the chance to secure a future. Once on board the transport ship, the promises of the dream-like advertisement seem a far cry from what lies ahead. A play (performed as part of the NCPA Connections India project in association with National Theatre, UK) about generations, decisions, and hope. The story seems a right fit as told by a young group of actors. It talks about ambiguity that lies in the future but at the same the importance of holding on to hope. Audiences of any age group can also resonate with messaging of the plot. The students of ASEEMA enjoyed themselves on stage while performing a story that they seemed to believe in.
