Wikipedia says: Improvisation, in the performing arts is a very spontaneous performance without specific or scripted preparation. What does the actor hold on to then? the situation, the objective, the relationship with co-actor.
The 6 days intensive Workshop will take actors through a series of exercises to develop listening and responding skills, faith in one's genuine reaction to the situation and ability to take decision in the scene when something unexpected happens. and Improvisation is all about unexpected happenings and responding to them.
In auditions, there is no co actor and there is a script, it's very difficult to react naturally to the artificial circumstances. By applying the basics of Improvisation, that is, understanding of situation, objective and relationship, actor can bring his performance in auditions much closer to reality.
