A unique performance that talks about all the aspects of love and its politics. It celebrates love in a super fun way like no other you would have experienced. Lavani being part of Maharashtra�s folk tradition has evolved over the times with changes in social, political and cultural developments as well as changing audience preferences. It has not just survived but thrived through these changing times and has become a part of the contemporary cultural identity. Starting from the traditional form of Tamasha and Sangeet Bari performed mainly in rural areas and smaller towns of Maharashtra it has also reached the audiences in metro cities like Mumbai. The performance is devised in the form of documentary theatre. Along with live performances of Lavani songs we share stories (oral history), video interviews and contemporary works like our collaboration with Agents of Ishq and Paromita Vohra.

The Lavani Dance Workshop is a chance to learn this dance form under the guidance of the versatile Lavani artist Akanksha Kadam and to get a deeper understanding of the world of Lavani from Savitri Medhatul, an expert on the form.
