MAKING MEANING IN PERFORMANCE
This workshop explores the multiple ways in which a performer can communicate meaning while acting or being directed. It tackles in detail how an audience interprets any movement or gesture on stage.

Jehan Manekshaw:
Jehan Manekshaw founded Theatre Professionals in 2008 and is the Head of School at the Drama School Mumbai. As a Core Team member of Theatre Professionals Education, his efforts are towards devising end-to-end solutions for educational institutions who want an autonomous Drama department. He has been the guest faculty at Ninasam Theatre Institute, Attakallari Centre for Movement Arts, St Xavier’s College, Mumbai, Shinshu University, Japan, and the National School of Drama’s T.I.E division in Agartala. He also has directed numerous plays in different languages in India, the US, UK, and Japan. He recently received the Sangeet Natak Akademi Ustad Bismillah Khan Yuva Puraskar for his work in the advancement of the practice of Theatre.
