In 2010, NCPA launched its first ever multi-lingual theatre festival of premiering plays - NCPA Centrestage. It created a platform for fresh works and encouraged new groups. Some plays went on to win awards at various prestigious national and international festivals. The eighth edition of Centrestage will once again showcase a selection of brand new plays by different theatre groups. The festival includes an international podcast on comedy featuring British and Indian stand-up comedians, and a dramatic adaptation of Shakespeare’s poem from the year 1594.

The festival will take place at the NCPA on 25th and 26th November and from 1st to 3rd December 2017.
