Surnai Theatre & Folk Arts Foundation In Collaboration with Mumbai Theatre Guide presents "NANI V/S NANNY", excerpts from Ila Arun's forthcoming play; a tongue-in-cheek account of the realm of the 21st century Nani. There was a time when girls came back to their maike to relax and take a break, with everything taken care of by the Nana and Nani. Today, the Nani goes to her working daughter's home as back-up to help with the grandchildren, often travelling across the seven seas to unfamiliar milieus, unknown languages and traditions. But a nani's love makes it all worthwhile despite several obstacles.

Ila Arun delves into this world with sensitivity and humour, bringing the role of a modern Nani to life.

The cast includes Ila Arun, Anjula Bedi, Shilpa Varma and Manju Baweja.
