Ank completes 45 years in October this year, a wonderful milestone. Had things been normal, the group, founded by the late Dinesh Thakur, would have held a festival of old Ak hits and new plays. However, in pandemic times, Preeta Mathur, who has picked up the reins of the group after her husband's demise in 2012.

Mathur sent a note saying, "In deep and loving remembrance of our founder, director, Dinesh Thakur, we continue our DASTANGOI series with Ank Studio's online presentation of Munshi Premchand's JURMANA."

She has designed, directed and acted in it, with Aman Gupta, Ajay Chourey Ravish Rathi and Sangam Rai. The story is about the hapless , Allahrakhi, who keeps getting caught out whenever she takes a break, and her wages deducted!
