Uttara Baokar, RIP

Stage and screen actress Uttara Baokar passed away in Pune at the age of 79, following a prolonged illness.

Alumna of the National School of Drama, she acted in several memorable plays like MUKHYAMANTRI, MENA GURJARI, TUGHLAQ, OTHELLO, UMRAO JAAN among others before accepting film and TV projects. She also directed the Hindi version of SANDHYA CHHAYA.

In 1994, she won the Sangeet Natak Akademi Award for acting.

MTG conveys heartfelt condolences to her loved ones.
