Gufi Paintal, RIP

Sarabjeet Singh Paintal, popularly known as Gufi Paintal, a film, TV and stage actor, passed away at the age of 79 due to age-related health issues. The brother of actor Kanwarjeet Paintal, and uncle of actor Hiten Paintal, he was best known for his role as Shakuni Mama in the series, Mahabharat. He went on to play it on stage in Puneet Issar's grand production; he also acted in other plays like the Pradeep Gupta-directed HANOOSH and BEGUM JAAN. An engineer by training, he has a long career as an actor and casting director. He is survived by his son, daughter-in-law and grandson.

His funeral was attended by family members and close friends, who mourned his demise. MTG conveys sincere condolences to the Paintal family.
