Kala Ghoda Arts Festival 2027 Opens Theatre Applications with Theme 'बहु-Roopiya'

The Kala Ghoda Arts Festival is inviting theatre artists and groups to apply for its 2027 edition, offering an opportunity for theatre-makers to bring their stories, productions and creative ideas to one of Mumbai's most celebrated cultural festivals.

The theme for Kala Ghoda Arts Festival 2027 is 'Multiplicity', while the theatre vertical embraces the theme 'बहु-Roopiya'-a celebration of the many forms, perspectives, identities and expressions that make theatre a constantly evolving art form.

The festival is scheduled to take place from 30 January to 7 February 2027 across Kala Ghoda, Mumbai. Theatre practitioners, groups and artists with productions ready for the stage, stories waiting to be performed, or ideas seeking an audience are encouraged to submit their applications.

The call is an opportunity for theatre-makers to showcase their work before diverse audiences while becoming part of a festival that brings together multiple artistic disciplines and creative voices. With 'Multiplicity' as the overarching theme, the 2027 edition is expected to explore the richness that emerges when different artistic expressions and perspectives come together.
