A woman with a vision, will, and drive to make it a reality, Veenapani founded Adishakti in 1981 bursting with ideas but with a few other resources as well. Today, Adishakti the institution is a vibrant and dynamic theatre community disseminating the performance methodologies pioneered by Veenapani. Adishakti is also engaged in several activities with the village communities surrounding it, as well as being a place where artists and academicians from around the world find a place of nurture and support. Adishakti team is determined to achieve the self-sustainability that Veenapani had pushed for all her life. Today, Adishakti is firmly on track with its own performance and financial plans in place, and to continue our work, it is vital that we have enough funds to ensure our survival while our programmes and plans take shape.
