Sudhanshu Kansara loves to read 'Standup Comedian' by his favourite author Simran Ojha. He is surprised to know that his life story is a replica of Rajat Dholakia, the hero from the novel. As the story advances, the hero gets cancer. At the same time, Sudhanshu is also diagnosed with the same life-threatening ailment with a fifty per cent chance of survival.
The struggle to save his life begins after everybody comes to know that Sudhanshu's life is dictated by the writing of Simran Ojha
Simran is firm against changing the end of the story. She does not want to betray millions of readers by changing the ending. She believes that Rajat Dholakia's story is far more different from the life of Sudhanshu.
On Sudhanshu's birthday, unexpected things happen and knowing this, Simran gets shocked. As the story moves on, she is scared for Sudhanshu's life.
By this time, Simran has developed feelings for Sudhanshu, and she is also concerned about the ending of her novel. Then a question arises in her mind.
Will Sudhanshu suffer the same fate as the hero of the novel?
