This supposedly hilarious romantic comedy is a fusion of a short play 'The Proposal' and a story 'The Seduction' by the great Russian writer, Anton Chekhov. The narrator (who is a writer himself) begins the play, narrating how he himself has invented the characters in the play. The play deals with the emotions of a young girl and a nervous boy who are neighbours.

Very soon, the boy gathers enough courage to go up to his neighbour with the intention of proposing marriage to his daughter but no sooner than they start their conversation, they begin to argue about property rights. As this argument subsides, a squabble about their pets threatens to destroy the chances of the boy and the girl getting married to each other. Finally however, they do get married.

All seems to go well with the couple till a friend of the boy enters the narrator/writer's script. Now this man is supposed to be an expert in the art of seduction, especially when it comes to seducing married women. The crafty seducer thus gets into the act of seducing his friend's wife who in turn responds to this man's flattery and charms.

Where will the menage-a-trois lead the three characters? The narrator/writer invites you to find out whether this game of love will cause much anguish or whether this will be a classic scenario of "All's well that ends well".
