Through the medium of 'Hanoosh' Shri. Bhishm Sahani has brought to light a universal fact that talent has no financial barrier. Hanoosh is a story of a lock maker, who has an ambition to make a clock. But his ambition is fulfilled after a trying period of seventeen long years. During this period, he and his family face financial crunch. Once the clock is ready, the Royal Court, Municipal Corporation and Trade Organization exploit him. But the irony of his fate makes everyone think.
On the king's order, the locksmith's eyes are removed so that he cannot make another lock of the same kind.
Even today, Hanoosh exists in some middle class family, in some village, city or somewhere on the globe with a dream to create something new. He follows his dream with a single-minded commitment. He takes all financial impediments in its stride and endures all insults heaped on him patiently. He is called 'worthless' and 'selfish' but nothing deters him from his aim. Once his dream is fulfilled, he becomes a victim of society. His efforts are recognized only when he is no longer there to relish his recognition. And is very truly said, "The artist may die but the art never dies".
