KHABSURAT BAHU depicts common superstitious beliefs and the tendency to exaggerate little knowledge that often exists in rural communities. When a very beautiful new bride enters the village, everything suddenly changes. The men become distracted, the women begin gossiping, and rumours spread quickly across the village. Small incidents soon turn into big misunderstandings, creating a series of hilarious and chaotic situations.
Along with its humour, the play also comments on the patriarchal setting in which many rural women silently suffer, and interestingly, how they find different ways to cope with these realities.
With lively music, rustic humour, and colourful characters, KHABSURAT BAHU is an entertaining theatrical experience filled with laughter, satire, and social insight.
