THE WOMAN IN BLACK Story :

One World Theatre presents the hindi adaptation of world`s scariest horror play `THE WOMAN IN BLACK.` The play is based on 1983 gothic horror novel by English writer Susan Hill, about a mysterious spectre that haunts a small English town. A television film based on it, also called THE WOMAN IN BLACK, was produced in 1989, with a screenplay by Nigel Kneale. In 2012, another film adaption was released starring Daniel Radcliffe. The hindi adaptation and direction has been done by Ratnesh Singh. Arthur Kipps, a lawyer, is recently widowed and grieving the loss of his wife when he is sent to a remote village to put a deceased eccentric`s affairs in order. Soon after his arrival, it becomes clear that the villagers are hiding a terrible secret. Kipps discovers that his late client`s house is haunted by the spirit of a woman who is trying to find someone and something she lost, and that no one - not even the children - is safe from her terrible wrath. The play has been staged in various countries and is considered the scariest play ever done on stage. This is a terrifying, masterful story of ghosts, grief, wasted landscapes, and events that captures imagination for a long time.
