'PIANO' is a Hindustani tragi-comedy designed, adapted, directed, and performed by veteran actor Raghubir Yadav, based on Ferenc Karinthy's play Steinway Grand. Set in 1970s Bombay, the story revolves around a lonely, isolated librarian who returns every evening to a silent, empty house after being deserted by his wife. To break the monotony of his routine and cope with his crippling solitude, he spots a newspaper advertisement for a piano sale and decides to dial the number. What begins as a simple call morphs into a series of humorous and chaotic prank calls to the same woman, with the protagonist adopting multiple fictional personas-including a child, an old woman, and a pompous piano dealer-ultimately leading to an emotional and heartwarming connection where two lonely souls find solace in each other.
