Reality of Doing is more than just a theatre group; it is a sanctuary for actors passionate about understanding the intricate craft and art of acting. Founded and led by a team of senior faculty trained at the most prestigious institutions, including the National School of Drama (NSD), Delhi, and the Film and Television Institute of India (FTII), Pune, we stand committed to nurturing actors who aspire to go beyond performance into mastery.

Our singular objective is to provide a fertile ground for actors to delve into the essence of their craft, equipping them with tools to navigate the evolving dimensions of the performing arts. With every workshop, every session, we aim to push boundaries, spark creativity, and evoke transformation.

COURSE OVERVIEW

This immersive 3-month program introduces you to the core principles of acting�no prior experience required. We focus on building a strong foundation through guided exercises, personal exploration, and group work. You'll gain confidence, develop presence, and learn the craft from the inside out�all without the pressure of performing scenes, monologues, or preparing for auditions.

The Idea behind the program is not to bomb barden actors with fancy analogies but to really enjoy and make them experience the minute intricacies of performance moment by moment.

Meet the Mentor:
Laxmi Rawat
Nsd Alumnus, Theater Practitioner, Performance Maker, Actor, Acting Coach, Artistic Director of Reality of Doing...

Laxmi Rawat's journey in theater began at the age of 14 as a child artist with National Bal Bhawan (Delhi). She later pursued her passion at Shri Ram Centre for Performing Arts, followed by a postgraduate degree from the prestigious National School of Drama (NSD), New Delhi (2003-2006), where she specialized in Acting.

Her contributions to the world of theater include performing at various national and international festivals, and directing plays with a focus on innovative and compelling storytelling techniques.

Laxmi has been honored with the Ministry of Culture Young Artist Fellowship and the Mahindra Excellence in Theatre Award as Best Actress (Female) for her exceptional work in the performing arts.
