About the Trainer:
Anirudh is an alumnus of the University Of Exeter, UK, where he completed an MA in Theatre Practice under the guidance of Professor Phillip Zarrilli. Anirudh is also the co-founder of Guild of the Goat, a theatre company based in New Delhi. With their recent work, Sonnets c.2019, a devised contemporary re-imagining of Shakespeare�s Sonnets set in a house in Delhi touring the country, Anirudh is shuttling between New Delhi, Kyoto and Chicago, where he is working on upcoming collaborations.

Over the last decade Anirudh has worked with artists like British director Anna-Helena McLean and Ben Crystal, WALKABOUT THEATRE in Chicago and Sankar Venkateswaran in India. His work focuses on physical presence and movement, and the use of sustainable vocal practices in performing a piece. Anirudh�s exposure and understanding of different yet pivotal theatre cultures across the globe while working on collaborations, have enriched his theatre making experience over the years.

Workshop Takeaways:
- Understanding natural blocks that an actor experiences during a performance
- Working on releasing these natural blocks, thereby allowing for freedom in movement and voice
- Using the voice and body as an instrument in the performance
- Releasing the body and voice so as to facilitate free flow of energy and impulses on stage.
