SAPAN SARAN is a poet, writer, and director based in Mumbai. She is the co-founder of the theatre company Tamaasha Theatre. Sapan practices theatre in multiple languages, and collaborates regularly with music composers and movement artists.

She is a recipient of the Tendulkar-Dubey Fellowship (2018). Her productions travel extensively and are invited regularly to theatre festivals. She teaches at NSD � New Delhi, DSM, and Bargaad. In 2024, Sapan was awarded the Aditya Vikram Birla Kiran Puraskar for her work.
