Moving Text is a 2 day workshop for performers, makers across disciplines, writers and curious bodies. This workshop shall delve into the many exciting performance possibilities of combining movement and text/ sound. We shall explore embodiment of text to create worlds/ emotions and tell stories; as well as, the expression of text through movement. Through exercises that encourage gentle, playful risk-taking, the participants shall learn to connect with their body-mind and respond to impulses. Within and beyond the cohabitation of movement and voice, participants shall be encouraged to seek their own performance language/ style.
