Ramchander belongs to the lower caste in the hierarchy of the caste system in India. He is found guilty of murdering captain Mohan Verma and is also booked for an attempt to murder Captain BD Kapoor. The play hits hard at the roots of casteism in the Indian Army. The Indian constitution has given equal rights to every human being but some powered, upper caste people have still not given the rights of equality to people whom they consider as outcastes. When the educated and honest people are humiliated and tortured by the upper caste people, they are bound to rebel. COURT MARTIAL is one such story.
