MUKTI BANDHAN is the story of Ronak Upadhyay and his father, Ramshankar Upadhyay. Ronak, a son without a mother, was brought up by his father, who played the role of both 'mother' and 'father' very well. He works in a highly paid corporate job as the Head of the 'Rainbow' channel. But he is so busy that he does not even have time to talk to his father on the phone or meet him in person.
Father Ramshankar, using excuses of falling ill or getting an attack, repeatedly tries to bring his son closer to him. But his wish to talk heart-to-heart with his son remains only in his mind. Perhaps this wish keeps becoming stronger.
One day, it is found out that the father has a brain tumor and that the thread of his life has become short. The son leaves no stone unturned in treating him. He sets up a hospital at home. But neither does he recover nor does death come to him. Because his final wish to talk heart-to-heart with his son is still stuck in his mind.
Ronak comes to know about 'Mokshadham', where people standing at the edge of death attain salvation after fulfilling their final wish. Ronak brings his father, as per his wish, to the 'Mokshadham' located in Kashi. After leaving him there, he wants to leave in great haste because a Netflix job in America is waiting for him, but he does not get admission there...
Because the fulfillment of his father's final wish is still remaining.
