WINDOW TAK AASHIQUI Story :

Step into the heart of Old Delhi with Manu Rishi Chadha's solo performance, which is a bittersweet ode to first love, longing, and the memories that shape us.

Set against the narrow, vigilant lanes of Old Delhi, this poignant solo performance by Manu Rishi Chadha draws deeply from lived experience to illuminate the delicate, unspoken world of first love. Written and performed by Chadha, with music by Vipin Heero and Shubroy Chowdhury, and produced by Roli Chaturvedi in collaboration with Kathabaaz Films, the piece unfolds as an intimate monologue that traces Monu’s journey from the innocence of childhood to the quiet turbulence of adolescence, a world where affection is exchanged in fleeting glances through windowpanes and every gesture is shaped by the scrutiny of family and the silent codes of a conservative neighbourhood.

What begins as a simple friendship evolves into a romance at once tender and tightly restrained, hemmed in by tradition, societal expectations, and the ever-watchful elders who patrol both the streets and the hearts of the young. Guided by the wry wisdom of an older brother, Monu learns that love, in such a world, is a lesson in patience, dignity, and self-discovery, a secret language spoken in small rebellions and cherished smiles.

Moments of joy shimmer briefly before giving way to heartbreak that leaves an echo long after the moment has passed. As memory softens and distance grows, what ultimately remains is not regret, but the clarity of understanding, how love, even when unfulfilled, shapes us in ways both gentle and profound. Blending humour and ache, the performance becomes a heartfelt meditation on longing, vulnerability, and the invisible boundaries that define young love.
