Kavi Jaato Tenvha (When a Poet Passes Away) is an immersive musical play reading by Pune-based experimental theatre group Jagar. The unique recital delves into the many passionate questions of life, poetry and everything in between - how can we truly embrace the abundance of poetry? What value does a poet claim in our lives? What are the consequences of a poet's death and impact borne by language? While the ponderings may be of a sincere and contemplative nature, the passionate presentation is one filled with both poignant and soft, wondrous moments, mirroring the heart of poetry and poets themselves.
Adapted from the original prose by Dr. Sameer Kulkarni, it has been directed by Amit Vaze. Versatile veteran actor Gajanan Paranjape plays the role of Poet Grace, and the music is rendered by Aparna Kelkar, Jaydeep Vaidya and Ninad Solapurkar.
