An intensive exploration of the fundamentals of acting
Jargon-free methodology.
Multi-Lingual, English, Hindi, Marathi and Gujarati

Workshop methodology-
Scene and text analysis to understand what a scene is about, beyond words and moves.

Understanding of backstory, character, situations and relationships.

Making truthful and interesting choices as an actor.

Creating a character through voice, speech, body language, costume and make-up, using information in the script, and real-life observations and experiences.

Sparking one�s imagination to flesh out a character, when real-life experiences are lacking.

Being in the moment as an actor despite preparation, in order to retain freshness.

Verbal and physical improvisation, in order to facilitate flexibility and alertness.

Involvement in aspects of offstage tasks, in order to facilitate collaboration.

Awareness of similarities and differences in cinema and stage acting.

Anton Chekhov is considered as the originator of Realism in the theatre, and current acting techniques trace their origins to his plays.

His play, THE SEAGULL, will be used as a text for the workshop.
