Actor in the Play is a rehearsal-room environment workshop that explores the actor's responsibility to the rehearsal, the text, the character, the director�s vision, the ensemble, and the actor�s personal process while working with others.

The Actor in the Play is an holistic and intensive journey that awakens and reawakens the actors' approach to a play in an environment that encourages discipline, risk, and technique.

For 10 weeks, the participants not only rehearse a play, but they have the opportunity to discover the BEST way to rehearse a play.

The program's focus is on:

Applying your individual technique and new techniques you'll experience to an ensemble environment

Vocal, imagination, and physical dexterity � Actor�s maintenance so you are performance fit.

Working as an ensemble.

Text analysis including Glenn�s uique workshops on Stanislavski�s SEVEN QUESTION and UNITS and BEATS.

Character: Physical, emotional, vocal, and physiological approach � Voice into text, body language, to feel or not to feel, experiential vs studied recall.

Exploration of differing techniques and how/why/when to not be precious about them - Meisner, Stanislavski, View Points, M. Chekhov.

The actor's homework - how to prepare for rehearsals. When to trust your instinct and when to rely on techniques.

Working in a global context. Acting� a universal language.

The program includes an Intimacy Training session with Guest Artist Neha Vyaso.

Theatre Workshop Fees : Cost: 35,000 + GST (Total 41,300)
