Rupangi Sharma's Book of Poems - Reading by stage actors

‘A Loving Embrace’ is on awide range of topics, with poems titled Who Am I, Eternity, A Lone Tree and others.

Rupangi Sharma started writing at the early age of five and subsequently, began her journey as a poet, when her poems were featured in the school magazines of the Delhi Public School, R.K. Puram, New Delhi, and later, after shifting to Mumbai in the school magazines of Ramniranjan Podar Senior Secondary School (R.N.P.S.S).She went on to become the editor of the school newsletter in R.N.P.S.S.

When she was 15 years old, she undertook an educational venture in Mumbai along with a successful teacher of the subject of Technical Drawing Application (T.D.A). The project involved making the subject of T.D.A more interesting through storytelling. She has also worked as a freelance creative writer, for companies like, Contests2win.com.

Currently, she is in her second year of Bachelor in Mass Media (B.M.M), at National College, Mumbai. This is her first published book of poetry.

The book was first released in New Delhi, with Chief Minister, Mrs. Sheila Dikshit presiding the event. Following are the details of the book launch event planned in Mumbai:

Date: Thursday, 6th March 2008.
Time: 7 pm onwards.
Venue: Crossword (Linking Road),Bandra(West).
(Basement and Ground Floor, Unit G-1, Plot No. 250-B, Kanhaiya Building, Linking Road, Mala Mahal Co-operative Society Ltd., Bandra (West), Mumbai-400050.).

The poetry reading will be done by the following theatre artistes:

Cyrus Dastoor, Devika Punjabi, Jaimini Pathak and Zafar Karachiwala.
