Assamese play RAGHUNATH won five major awards at the recently announced Mahindra Excellence in Theatre Awards - Best Director, Best Actor, Best Original Script, Best Production, Best Stage Design - went to Bidyut Kr. Nath, while Gautam Saikia won for Best Light Design.

The award for Best Sound & Music Design was won by Chayan Adhikari and Bindhu Malini N for the play DO YOU KNOW THIS SONG?, and Best Costume Design was won by Melodi Dorcas for HAYAVADANA.

Tarun Bhattacharya won the Best Actor in a Supporting Role (male) for the play GOPAL URE & CO, while the award for the Best Actor in a Supporting Role (female) was shared by Nibedita Mukhopadhyay for GOPAL URE & CO and Pallavi Jadho for HAYAVADANA.

The award for the Best Actor in a Lead Role (Female) was shared by Mallika Taneja and Mallika Singh Hanspal for DO YOU KNOW THIS SONG? and GHANTA GHANTA GHANTA GHANTA GHANTA respectively.

The Best Choreography award went to Maisnam Joy Meetei and Mehak for AGNISUTA DRAUPADI while HAYAVADANA got the Best Ensemble award.

Actor, director, and former director of the National School of Drama Ram Gopal Bajaj was honoured with the Lifetime Achievement Award.
