Get ready for a night full of laughter, emotion, and relatable moments with CALIFORNIA SUITE - an adaptation of Neil Simon’s iconic play, now reimagined for Indian audiences.
Presented by The Jeff Goldberg Studio and directed by Yashhraj Siingh, this Indian version of CALIFORNIA SUITE brings a fresh cultural flavor to Simon’s timeless storytelling. Set in a luxurious hotel suite in Mumbai (originally in Beverly Hills), the play explores four funny and moving stories that show the many faces of human relationships.
The story takes place in a single hotel suite but features four different stories. Each one brings out different emotions-from joy and awkwardness to sadness and love. There are marriages on the edge, unexpected reunions, personal confessions, and hilarious misunderstandings.
Even though the original play was written in 1976, its themes still feel modern. This Indian adaptation adds local touches-Indian humor, cultural references, and real-life situations that make it even more relatable for the audience.
Whether it's a couple fighting over custody, two old friends sharing a bitter-sweet moment, or unexpected chaos between lovers, CALIFORNIA SUITE is packed with drama and laughter.
One of the highlights of this production is its stellar cast. With performances by Arya Tiwari, Jai Kanodia, Rini Anand, Nainesh, Adwitia Dey, Mahathi Ramesh, Yash Vardhan, Shreya Surana, Urvee Adhikaari, Varun Patel, Sahil Lakhmani, Yukti Verma, and Aadhar Agarwal, the play promises energy, charm, and heartfelt acting.
Neil Simon is known as one of America’s greatest playwrights, famous for mixing comedy with deep human insight. CALIFORNIA SUITE is one of his most loved works-and now it’s being presented in a way that Indian audiences can connect with deeply.
This version, directed by Yashhraj Siingh, respects the original text while also giving it a unique Indian soul. With heartfelt storytelling, local references, and clever direction, this play speaks to today’s generation without losing the charm of Simon’s writing.
