1-Month Weekend Acting Workshop for Aspiring Actors & Adults

The Roobaru Roshni Acting Workshop is a one-month weekend journey designed for aspiring actors, professionals, and anyone eager to explore the transformative world of theatre and acting. Conducted by Nikkhil Dixit, actor, writer, and director of Roobaru Roshni Theatre Company, this workshop blends practical training, creative exercises, and emotional exploration to help participants discover their truest artistic selves.

Over four weekends, participants will dive into the fundamentals of acting - imagination, observation, body awareness, voice and speech, emotions, and character building. Each session is crafted to strengthen confidence, sharpen performance skills, and open up the actor's inner world. From improvisations to monologue work, from understanding subtext to expressing truthfully, the workshop focuses on building a strong foundation while encouraging individuality and fearless creativity.

Rooted in techniques inspired by Stella Adler, Stanislavski, and Meisner, the training emphasizes that acting is not imitation ' it is living truthfully under imaginary circumstances. Participants learn to create real emotions, connect deeply with scenes, and perform with presence both on stage and on camera.

The workshop is not just for those who wish to become actors, but for anyone who wants to communicate better, overcome stage fear, and express themselves freely. It's a space where you grow ' as an artist and as a human being.

By the end of the month, every participant performs a short scene, applying everything they've learned in front of an audience.
