What They Say
Purva Desai
Five years ago we commissioned Londons Royal Court Theatre to help meet requests we were receiving from theatre companies around India The royal court jumped at the opportunity to work with the most creative minds and talents of India today. Writers bloc is an apotheosis of these workshops. All new 9 plays-nurtured by writers, destruction-tested by actors, picked apart by directors, re-written countless times by the same writers and, above all, worked on by some of the royal court theatres most distinguished playwrights and directors- now come, in full performance, to the Mumbai stage. Paul Smith. Director, British Council.
The royal court theatre is very proud to be a part of this wonderful project. -Elyse Dodgson. Associate Director, Head of International Department Royal Court Theatre, London.

Director.
We at Jindal belive in young talent and strongly advocate partnerships between business and arts. In September 2002, the Jindal art foundation collaborated with the royal court theatre, London, the British Council and Rage productions in providing a platform to Indian playwrights through a series of workshops. We are proud to be associated with the festival that will showcase the efforts put in by the participants.I hope alliances of this nature will encourage creative pursuits and help unleash the latent potential in our country. Sangita Jindal. Director, Jindal South West Foundation.
