Chandan Roy Sanyal has produced a one-of-a kind live film titled In Between, which he explains, is not just theatre and not just a movie, but a bit of both. It is a live film shot in one take. According to a release, the actor-producer roped in his team of old actors for this ambitious one-take film-and-theatre experience. Sanyal reveals that the inception of this project has its roots in the insider and outsider debate in Bollywood. Inspired by his personal experiences, he pieced together the script of this live film that digs into the reality of an actor's life. Chandan says, "An actor has to search for work, look good, make rent, take care of their parents and maintain art. It's quite a heavy duty job that you can't take a break from. I have lived the life of a theatre actor long enough to know the challenges of surviving it. The process of auditioning is toilsome - one stands in queues, your makeup comes off, you're hungry, you have limited takes and the pressure to deliver. I have drawn from my personal experience to create In Between. I'm very excited about presenting my first one-take film." A commentary on the vibrant lives of actors, In Between is about a few actors auditioning for roles amid the emotional turmoil that takes a toll on their profession. The live film is slated to be presented over BookMyShow on the 28th and 29th of November, 2020. The cast includes Joy Fernandes, Aarti Aney, Sudeep Modak, Abhishek Saha, Arpita Banerjee, Aman Uppal and Dhruv Lohumi.
