The festival aims to bring together powerful performances, diverse theatrical voices and the vibrant energy of live theatre on one platform. Scheduled to take place on 29th, 30th and 31st January 2027, the second season is expected to create an exciting space for theatre groups and artists to showcase distinctive productions and connect with audiences through the shared language of performance. Theatre-makers looking to be part of this celebration can now submit their applications.

A key eligibility condition for Natya-Ratan Season 2 is that only premiere productions or plays having their first-ever show in Mumbai are eligible to apply. This requirement gives the festival a distinctive character, creating an opportunity for audiences to experience productions that are new to the Mumbai theatre circuit. For theatre groups with a production ready to be presented for the first time in the city, the festival offers a platform to introduce their work to a diverse audience while becoming part of an international multilingual theatre celebration. Artists and groups are encouraged to carefully review the eligibility requirements before submitting their applications.

The last date to apply is 18th October 2026, giving theatre-makers a limited window to submit their productions for consideration. Interested artists, theatre groups and production teams can apply online through the application link provided by the festival.
