Tripurari Sharma RIP

Well known playwright, director and former National School of Drama professor, Tripurari Sharma passed away in Delhi at the age of 67, after a prolonged illness.

An NSD alumna herself, Sharma had written and directed several plays like BAHU, BIRSA MUNDA, BANJH GHATI and KATH KI GAADI. She has also directed acclaimed plays like ADHE ADHURA, CHERRY ORCHARD and QADAR KA QUNBA for the NSD Repertory.

She was conferred with the Sangeet Natak Akademi Award, the Safdar Hashmi Samman and Delhi Sahitya Kala Parishad Award.

MTG conveys sincere condolences to Sharma's family, friends and colleagues.
