Padma Shri Shekhar Sen, an acclaimed singer, actor, playwright, lyricist, and music composer, is renowned for his monoact musical plays. Masterpieces of Shekhar Sen:

TULSI: A monoact musical play written, acted, and directed by Sen, based on the life of poet-saint Tulsidas.

KABEER: A compelling portrayal of the life and teachings of the great reformist and poet Kabir.
