The Colossus That Was Bapurao Naik

(Arun Naik, Bapurao Naik's elder son speaks at the Mumbai Marathi Sahitya Sangh kickstarting Bapurao Naik's centenary year celebrations).

Priolkar passed away in 1971. A committee was formed to publish a commemorative volume on Priolkar: A Ka Prioklar Smrutigranth. My father was asked to write an article on ‘Priolkar ani Mudran Samshodhan’. There was a deadline for publication: the first death anniversary. He wrote the article but kept making additions. I was printing the volume myself. At the last moment we decided to print the volume without my father’s article.

Then I sat on his head and finalised 64 pages. But as it was not possible to now include the article, we published the article as a separate book: A Ka Priolkar ani Mudran Samshodhan.
