Stage, Film and Television actor, Rasika Joshi passed away on Thursday, 7th July 2011 battling cancer. The actress, a graduate of the National School of Drama (NSD) was known for her versatility. Some of her best known plays include HARVALELE PRATIBIMB and MAIN BHI SUPERMAN, a children's play in the GRIPS style. The latter play was written by the late playwright-director Chetan Datar, and both productions were directed by Bhupendar Deshmukh.
Her work on screen included films by Ram Gopal Verma and she also acted in Sriram Raghavan'sJohnny Gaddar. She essayed a popular role in Ekta Kapoor's tele-serial, Bandini. She has also written the story and dialogues for the 2006 Marathi film Yanda Kartavya Aahe.
