Speaking about the reason for holding this competition Iqbal Niyazi said, “A lot of drama competitions keep taking place in Mumbai by the likes of Bhavans, IPTA, Hindi Vidyapeeth, Bhausahab competition, etc. So, we thought of doing something different. Hence, we thought of organizing a monologue competition.”

He added that the aim was also to help strugglers in the future. “There are a lot of strugglers who have their monologues ready to show at auditions. So, we thought why not provide a platform for them. We have also shot their videos, which we will be providing to them so that they can shot it wherever they go for an audition,” Iqbal Niyazi said.

Along with the prizes the five winners will also get another chance of showcasing their acts. “Very soon Kirdaar Art Academy will stage the five prize winning monologues so that those people who couldn’t see them would get a chance of enjoying them,” he added.
