Theatre group Tpot, helmed by actress-director-writer Trishla Patel, will soon open its latest production CATCH-22.

There is a film (directed by Mike Nichols) based on the famous novel and it was also adapted to a play by its author Joseph Heller. Trishla Patel shares her thoughts about what inspired her to stage it.

She says: "This was my favourite novel in school and the film had left me with strong images. I was introduced to the play by Jagdish Rajpurohit. I got addicted to the script. The writing motivated me and ignited a desire to stage it with stark imagery. The process has been extremely rewarding and my actors have been very patient with me."

CATCH-22 opens at Prithvi Theatre on 29th December 2019.
